Kauffman Museum offers special thematic tours for school classes from K-6, based on school curriculum. An outstanding collection of mounted animals and birds and the prairie reconstruction allow close-up examination of an extensive range of species.

Beginning in the fall of 2016, teachers and school administrators may apply for transportation reimbursement through our Bring Back the Buses program

The Museum also lends objects for demonstration in the classroom and has a number of "teaching kits" for checkout at no charge.

Year-round programming includes Sunday-Afternoon-at-the-Museum lectures and Kauffman Kids & Friends programs and Celebrate Kansas Day!

Several day camps--Uncle Carl's Camps-- are scheduled in the summer months.

For information about field trips or teaching kits, contact the Curator of Education, Andi Schmidt Andres.
