As school budgets shrink, one of the first “extra” activities eliminated is field trips. At Kauffman Museum we know that experiences outside the classroom are crucial to learning and expanding a student’s view of the world. Schools can often afford Kauffman Museum’s $1 field trip admission fee but can’t afford transportation costs.
That’s why we’ve started a new initiative to Bring Back the Buses!
Any school group that arrives at the museum by bus may request reimbursement for travel expenses up to $100 per school per visit. Reimbursements are available on a first come first served basis.
Contact Andi Schmidt Andres at firstname.lastname@example.org or 316-283-1612 to make a reservation for your group and to reserve your reimbursement.
After you’ve visited the museum, download and submit the printable Reimbursement Request Form. Proof of payment to a bus services company or written verification of mileage and driver costs from the school’s transportation office must accompany the Reimbursement Request Form.
